Picasa 3 is kewl.Check out my work using that, it barely took me 10 min.Awesome isn't it?(I mean Picasa).Perfect and most importantly understanble usability documentation is available online..Cant wait to explore more features.Collage creation can't be easier!!!!

Nature, Larger than Life!!!

 Nature is bewitching and mystifying at the same time. Umpteen things like the Universe,Anatomy of innumerable living things starting from a microscopic virus to that of a gigantic whale's, Evolution...I can go on, fasinates me. Nature is happening, happens easily,smoothly and steadily without strain.

 First five things that popped in my head when "Nature" occured to me.

• Dreams (TV maniacs like me get entertained even in sleep)
  
• Exquisite range of colours(I dont think any shade, any colour combination is missed out)
  
• Mimosa folding its leaves at the slightest stimulus.
  
• Did you know a calf can walk as soon as its born.I dint know this util I was 18.My surprise knew no bounds,  as I witnessed that.
• Ants' ability to build ant-hill and the snakes' ability to occupy the same.

On Lyricists(Tamil)

Frankly speaking I am not sure whether I am even eligible to criticize a lyricist's work.

Its an artistry(incidently I dont have a great taste in lyrics).

I swear, I dont keenly listen to any song's lyrics.

But some lyrics definitely freaks me out!!!!To give you a tinge of  the  famous songs(Actually they should have been infamous...unfortunately they are popular,credit goes to the musicains)

Find the literal translation in square brackets

"Kalyanantha kattikittu odi polaama illa

Odipoi kalyanam thaan katikalama"(Movie:Saamy)

["shall we marry and then elope or

elope and then marry"]

"Kannum kannum nokia

Nee kollai kollum mafia"(Movie:Anniyan)

[this is really difficult to translate 

"eye, eye nokia(probably he meant the heroine's eye)

you are a looting mafia"]

Worst of all

"Rock your body..

villu oru kedi(Movie:Villu)"... 

[villu is the hero's name.Kedi means something like cheat/fraud.

So the second line approximately means

"villu is a fraud"]   

This one is, utterly a meaningless crap, juuuussst hate it!!!

I am not saying that Tamil Film industry is void good lyricist.

We do have veterans like VairaMuthu, Vaali whose works are acclaimed.

But I want to catch them(spoilers) by throat and 

say "Hey Tamil is such a beautiful language, dont kill her!!!"

Onsite, it’s a dream for almost every IT professional(Indians). Let’s probe, how one becomes an IT Professional? Race commences from IXth Grade.2 years of backbreaking work to get into a reputed High School.

Bare minimal definition of a reputed High School:

1. Excellent Board Exam coaching

2. Good Entrance Exam Coaching

3. Extra Curricular Activities

This definition means more competition which translates to more effort.So called reputed High School awaits you with 2 more years of uphill battling to earn an admission in a respectable college

Respectable College Means:

1. Country level ranking

2. Past placement percentage

3. Infrastructure and other facilities

Again, respectable college is directly propotional to immense effort.Not to mention the brain storming to choose the Stream/Course (Mostly every one prefers EC, EEE,CSC,IT. In the same order).After securing an admission, long haul of 4 consecutive years of assignments,tests,internals,semesters,practicals etc.Have to secure decent CGPA/Marks, so that one will be eligible for the campus recruitment. Then encounter the actual climax - horrifying and intimidating interviews. Oh please, this is not it.

As a rookie in the company, you have to undergo 2 months of pure torture called training, followed by harassment called assessment, where some end up losing their jobs. In case, you cleared the assessment and successfully managed to cling to the company, after a year you will be a confirmed employee. Phew....10 years of your life gone!!!!!!

If you think, it’s time to stretch your legs and relax, then you are a loser.Actual race begins now, where angel/darling peers give tough competition for career growth as well as onsite opportunities. At the same time, you’ll try really hard to impress your stupid boss (who knows nothing but PPT Preparation, that too with the team members' help).Worst thing that can happen while impressing one's boss is the jaw pain, as a result of fake laughing at his endless PJs(Poor Jokes).

At last one fine day, you get your hand on your piece of the pie and will apply for H-1B.Apparently, await the H-1B Visa Lottery Results, which is worse than the 10 years of studying and appearing for exams. At least in case of exams, one can to some extent predict the results. What can one do for the H-1B lottery other than wait with their fingers crossed?Unfortunately some cases will not go through the lottery pick.Then curse the damn lottery, wait for one more year to reapply, at last you are a prestigious H-1B Visa Lottery Winner and suppose you clear the VISA interview, your passport will be stamped. Hurray!!! you will throw a party for getting stamped.

Poor you!!! Little will you know that you may have to wait for another year to actually get an onsite opportunity. At last an opportunity knocks your door. You’ll be extremely glad to fly, assignment duration be a month or a year. When you board the flight, you’ll have a satisfaction that you’ve attained your aspiration and all the 13 years of hard work and boss-flattering had paid off.

Even after all these stumbling blocks, you get to visit US or Europe at the max. Even if you go abraod, you won’t be able to enjoy the places much, due to the niggling thing(work,you-have -to-spend-out-of-your-own-pocket to visit places) at the back of your mind.

On the contrary, lets take an actress(There are umpteen professions, Lets just take actress for instance). I need not enlighten you, how one becomes an actress.Our sweet sixteen bikini babes effortlessly visit all countries. Remember your sweet or I would rather call sweat sixteen? years back you had just started to race. Point to note, they visit all beautiful places, which we get to watch only in movies. With in couple of years they would have finished visiting the whole world under the tag oversees shooting.Free of cost is the catch point!!!!!!

So what do they need to achieve this?

1. Beautiful body (of course you need effort to maintain that)

2. "Ready to strip and expose their skin anywhere, anytime and any number of times" attitude.

Actually these actress enzoy double bonanza, one being the free world tour and the second being the tag "CELEBRITY". At least few decades back, talent reigned the film industry. Nowadays with technological advancement to confide on, talent and creativity takes a back seat.

Having discussed about IT and cine field, I dont want to be an agent of injustice to other fields. For them, traveling abroad is a pie in the sky. I am not talking about the entrepreneurs or born-with-silver spoons who own private islands, who holiday in opulent villas, who can afford his son's/daughter's higher education abroad. I am talking about an ordinary middle class Indian.
